Emergency lightning

Emergency lightning – it’s a battery-backed lightning device that is used to supply light in premises when electricity breakdown occurs. There are at least 3 types of them:

Maintained lightning – work constantly using power from mains supply but when emergency mode is triggered, they take power from the back-up batteries.

Non-maintained – they are made for only emergency use that is when power supply fails.

LED emergency lightning – this type is efficient option for general or emergency lightning. The moment it runs off of back-up power this is important that batteries last. The lights are usually used to reduce consumption of power and trickle charge for topping-up of the back-up batteries.

It is very important that the emergency lights are tested on a regular basis. If not, they might become useless when back-up batteries are run out of power. This can lead to serious and unpleasant or sometimes evet to fatal consequences, in hospitals, for example.

Commercial Electro is always ready to deal with all the test, repairs and installs if needed.

Some options that we can offer:

Monthly check:

Quick but thorough check. Fast test without turning out all power. Go through emergency lights to ensure that they’re working. If found any defect, repair them immediately. Jot down all the results into your fire safety logbook.

Yearly – the procedure includes turning off the mains power supply. Emergency lights are remained to work for several hours (rated period comprises at least 3 hours). If they fail within that period, we replace back-up batteries.
